Baldur's Gate 3: How to Solve the Counting House Vaults Code BG3

counting house bg3

There are a lot of small vaults inside the Counting House in Baldur’s Gate 3. All of these vaults are locked and require you to use a lockpick with a DC15 check. But our primary focus is the larger vault, Vault 9, at the end of the corridor with some marked tiles (digits) in front of it. To solve the Counting House Vault puzzle in Baldur’s Gate 3, enter the correct code by stepping on the tiles in order. In front of you, you find a puzzle where you have to stand members of your party on the right symbols on the floor to advance.

*** EDIT - Thanks for all the helpful comments, we found almost all the high security vault keys! ***

Through one way or another, you learn that the ambush is happening soon, and you need to reach the area as quickly as possible if you want to intervene. This goes double for players who want to recruit Minsc into their party. You can also check out the numbered image we created above to see the exact order.

Baldur’s Gate 3: How to Solve Counting House Vaults Door Puzzle

If you’ve done this correctly, all four lightning bottles will light up, and the vault will open. You have now completed the Counting House puzzle in BG3 and can move on to find out what’s happening with Minsc. Below, you can see an image of the correct tiles to stand on to complete the puzzle as well as which tiles to step on first.

How to Get the Vault Codes in the Head Banker's Office

If you’d rather be feisty, you can always choose violence to get into the Counting House. As you stalk your way through the Counting House, ideally robbing every nook and cranny absolutely blind, you’ll find yourself faced with a vault and a puzzle. And you could run around everywhere, trying to figure it out. Here’s how to solve the Counting House Vaults Puzzle in Baldur’s Gate 3. Use a ranged weapon to shoot the buttons in the middle of the room and you can walk on the seals. Then 5, which you can open if you have avery’s key, has a load of gold and a scroll of revivify.

Jinger Duggar says family’s ‘cult-like’ beliefs had her ‘terrified of the outside world’

She’s heavily guarded and in deep conversation with an accountant. It seems like their protection racket is falling apart, but when you’re noticed conversation turns to you. The trail of both leads to a heist at the Counting House bank in the Lower City, where a trap has been laid to defeat the Stone Lord for good. You can also use only one character to press the buttons in order. If you make any mistakes, you will have to start from the beginning.

In 6, is a parasite and a load of letters written by Gortash about the central plot. Inside the high-security vaults, after another passageway transition, a cutscene plays. After the cutscene, where a doppelganger Jaheira appears to take Minsc away, a fight breaks out with a load of Bhaalite cultists. To enter further into the bank, the party must show a Bank Pass to Cashguard Captain Faril or use diplomacy. The Bank Pass will allow access to the lower levels of the bank, including the safes and vaults.

Go downstairs and present the guards with the temporary vault pass again before entering the vault. Go through the passageway to reach The Counting House Vault. Counting House Vault Door has nine panels on the floor and requires you to step on them in the right order. The vault 9 inside the Counting House contains a treasure chest that you can loot to obtain Elegant studded leather, which grants you light armor and an advantage on your stealth checks.

The contents of the safes and where to find the keys is listed in the Loot-Section The keys follow the naming convention "High Security Vault n°X Key". Lockpicking and looting these vaults will not trigger any security response. The puzzle is in the area just after you pass all of the doors that hold different bank vaults in them. There is a plaque in front of the puzzle that says you have to talk with the head banker to retrieve the current codes. However, you don’t have time for that, so you can just copy what I did to get inside the vault.

How to find the Counting House Vault code

There's a small storage room here, which also happens to have a pipe. Since a cat is small enough, interacting with the pipe causes them to reach the Head Banker's Office on the second floor. Counting House Vault n°4 Key - Can be looted or pickpocketed from Roger Highberry in Highberry's Home in the Lower City. Talk to the guard at the entrance to show them your temporary vault pass and they will let you inside. For his part, Minsc will be encountered again later in Act III.

In the next room, the ledger on the desk tells you that Minsc is being given a tour of the lower vaults, so that’s where you need to go. Enter the Counting House via the front door and you will need a pass to enter the large iron fence in the middle of the foyer. In the Undercellar, the lair of the Thieves’ Guild, you speak to their leader, Nine Fingers Keene.

To find the answer, you need to go to the second floor of the Counting House, lockpick your way into the heavily guarded door, and find a passcode. The vaults are tied to the quest "Aid the Underduke" and lead into other major story Arcs. You can get this quest by helping guild thugs fight the Stone Lord crew and/or finding the Guild Hall. Guild Hall is located insoutheastern part of Baldur's Gate, to the right of Sorcerous Sundries. There is a lot to explore in Baldur’s Gate 3, with our BG3 review going into a spoiler-free hint at several highlights. Before you tackle the Counting House vault, it’s worth taking another look at your class – you don’t want to be caught short if a fight breaks out.

The Counting House in Baldur’s Gate 3 is Baldur’s Gate’s central bank. You’ll probably find yourself there while pursuing Jaheira’s quest to find the Stone Lord. This eventually leads to Minsc, so if you want him as a companion, you’ll want to help out Jaheira. Eventually, you need to break into a vault to find the Stone Lord, but there’s a confusing puzzle on the ground that requires a four-digit code.

So, instead of running all the way up there, wasting Invisibility, and risking getting caught, here’s how to input the code. To find the answer legitimately, you need to go to the second floor of the Counting House, lockpick your way into the off-limits door, and find a ledger. Have you noticed that Act 3 has a lot of puzzles that require you to run to secondary locations?

Go into this building and back out through the southern metal door (you’ll have to lockpick it first). The Counting House guards aren’t all that tough, but they do have big swords, and they sure do know how to use them. Just make sure you have your beefiest characters with you, and you’ll be able to muscle through it. After you’ve taken care of the guards on the first floor, you can head through the giant center gate and make your way to the vault, continuing your path of slaughter all the way down. Once you have your pass, you can show it to the guards and pass through the giant gate in the Counting House. From there, just follow the linear halls all the way down, and you’ll arrive at the vault.

Additionally, Canva has a constrained output format that makes it difficult to submit it to a qualified designer or editor for professional revisions. Although Canva offers a 30-day option to retrieve deleted content, in our opinion, it would be preferable if it developed a reliable backup system. Previously known as Adobe Spark, it is the newest member of Adobe’s family of design tools and has everything you need to get started in graphic design, especially for professionals. If you’re a beginner looking for an easy bar to entry for straightforward graphic design, Paint 3D is a great place to start. There’s virtually no learning curve and since it’s made by Microsoft, the tool naturally works well on all Windows 10 devices. Adobe Spark is a free alternative to the company’s popular, for-pay Adobe Illustrator.

It has some of the welcome features of many similar apps, including its ecosystem of complementary programs. The price for this web-based design app is right; it has a free trial and free version. Unfortunately, the free version is quite ad-heavy — for users that want an ad-free experience, priced packages start at $1.99/month. The best graphic design software provides an intuitive user interface with image manipulation tools and advanced features to suit all skill levels. Figma has emerged as a top-notch tool for graphic design, boasting an intuitive interface that particularly shines in web and app design projects. It has garnered favor among web designers and UI and UX experts for its prototyping capabilities but is also versatile to handle photo editing as well.

They can see just what their website or app will look like once it’s live. With the Adobe Lightroom app, it only takes seconds to fix that terrible photo sent by a client that was edited with colouring that doesn’t make sense for the design. Sketch is similar to Figma, which was mentioned earlier on this list, but it’s more beginner-centric. Within the platform, you can design pretty much anything you can imagine. Stencil even comes set up with all of the digital design sizes you could possibly need so you don’t have to memorise them. They have premade documents set up for Pinterest pins, Instagram photos, Twitter posts, and more.

Your specific uses for the graphic design software will determine which program will work best for you. We created an ease-of-use score that reflects how quickly we could complete common tasks. You should also look for a program that has all of the tools you need to create your designs. Unlike conventional graphic design software, Flipsnack allows users to create and publish flipbooks, brochures, presentations, and magazine covers. Like other software solutions, Flipsnack offers access to gifs, buttons, and videos. Designed for marketers and those with little to no graphic design experience, Flipsnack is an easy-to-use platform.

There are many affordable options out there no matter your skillset and computer type. Adobe InDesign is the original design software, and it’s one of the first programs that all designers are taught when they’re in design school. Adobe Illustrator is perfect for drawing vector art on the computer and creating logos. It’s also great for projects that you know will have to get blown up to a huge proportion. With AI, you can change the size of any project without worrying too much about the resolution.

As with its other Creative Cloud stablemates, Adobe continues to enhance InDesign with tools for the ever-changing publishing landscape, as well as adding creativity and ease-of-use features. You also get unmatched typography tools with Adobe Fonts and stock media from Adobe Stock. Illustrator is undeniably for any professional illustrator or graphics editor, but hobbyists who like to create visual art also can benefit from it, too. Those who are unwilling to pay a recurring subscription fee, however, should look to one of the other products included here, like Affinity Designer or CorelDraw. Yes, Graphic designers use CAD because they can produce 2D or 3D representations for their clients using design software. Graphic designers can add digital effects, lettering, backdrops, and animations to their design images using CAD software.

This, combined with all of the third-party plugins available, makes GIMP a powerful option for those looking for free software. While the subscription plan is admittedly quite pricey ($269/year), buying the CorelDRAW graphics suite straight out is quite the deal! Inkscape is a full-featured vector-based graphic design program that’s free and open source. But if you’re a working designer, you won’t find anything better when it comes to graphic design software for large-project page layouts. A must-have for any designer who works in print, Adobe InDesign rounds out the holy trinity of Adobe professional graphic design programs. Of course, if you use the templates you can rest assured that many other people are as well.
